Our stay in Chumphon was exactly as we anticipated, our reason for visiting was to stay at fisherman’s home stay, which was superb, we stayed an extra night in the town to catch an early morning train to Trang, this allowed us to witness the people of Chumphon setting up the food markets at 03.00 in the morning, brilliant.

Great place!
Great place! Great street food night market and shopping centres. We went to De Rust pub for dinner and watched a band one night. We really enjoyed our short time in Chumphon. Definitely make the trip to the viewpoint around 15mins outside of Chumphon, Definitely worth visiting!

We got an upgrade to poolview room.
Spacious bedroom and big bed. Small outdated bathroom with curtain shower in bath tub. Not much waterpressure.
Breakfast was poor, esp
eccially for foreigners. No cheese, or ham. Dirty jams and peanut butter with a spoon dug in was not apealing. Croisants and cappuccino was ok though.

Only there overnight with my wife and three year old grandson. Yet I had to book two rooms because they couldn't or wouldn't cater for the child.
No one in the reception until 08.00 am, the main gate was locked and although we had planned an early start (driving to Phuket) we had to wait for the receptionist to arrive.
The property cant be described has a hotel, two rows of rooms Nd the location is poor.
There will not be another visit and I would certainly not recommend to your readers.

There are some lovely beaches here.
People are not that used to seeing western tourists, very little English spoken. Though those that do speak English are keen to practice.
Restaurants were limited as were bars (due to covid).
Ate in a local restaurant. Friendly ladies. Food all came out at different times (rice first, before the meat/fish dishes).
Quite dark around the streets at night. We felt safe, but needed a torch.

I went to Chumphon for a city trip (rather than islands and snorkling which the city is famous for). The overall experience is good. There are not so many places for you to visit in the Chumphon city and vicinity area. But there are many adventurous places around the province (which require driving time up to 2 hrs in some places). Worth to visit anyway :D
This is a pet friendly resort that is a great stopover for a journey from Bangkok to the south, or vice-versa. I arrived quite late in the evening and the staff were really helpful and friendly, keeping the bar open for me to have a beer.
There is a fantastic beach about 600m away and other places to walk the dog close by, however, there was little else open close to the resort.
The bungalow was very clean and comfortable with everything I needed for my short stay.
The pool is a central feature of the resort and is ideal for kids.
Not close to anything , be prepared to spend lots of money to get anywhere. no spa and no golf , but this wasn’t told until after we booked then we got a message from the property.
Staff are polite but very difficult with communication in English. Breakfast is extremely ordinary and not fresh.
The beach is over the road from the property and is an absolute tragedy that the locals accept the amount of rubbish and filth on the beach.
The only good thing about Chumphon is leaving it .
Great place to stay if you’ve been to or heading to Koh Tao, close to the ferry terminal in Chumphon and the hotel provides shuttle. Beach next to the resort was so massive and quiet it was so stunning! Tents are fun to stay in, bathroom is just behind the tent so at night you have to leave the tent. Great value for money! Pool is massive. We had dinner in the resort too which was great. AC in tent very powerful.
The breakfast had variety, but for me personally it lacked some of the western things I enjoy at breakfast such as cheeses, cold cuts, bacon, and variety of bread like croissants. Possibly, these things were removed because not too many foreigners are visiting that city these days. The room had a huge refrigerator but did not have the advertised minibar.
Very friendly staff, very calm and silent location, it’s perfect to get a good night of rest before taking the ferry to the islands. There is also a nice little restaurant with affordable prices right across the street. I’ve had the Thai Stir Fried Tofu + Rice and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in Thailand (also quite spicy).
Sood the owner was so helpful, as a coffee lover I was spoiled because 60% of Thailand's coffee production comes from Chumphon, and there are many specialty coffee shops serving amazing robusta in the surrounding areas. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and delicious breakfast and coffee served in the morning.
First of, the location is excellent if you're looking for peace and quiet. It's 4 km off Chumphon downtown so make sure you rent a scooter. The facilities as described on the website. The owners were beyond accommodating and polite. The place itself is located by the river and surrounded by palm trees
Location is just off the main highway for those travelling further north or south into Thailand. Front desk lady was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, rooms are large with covered parking right in front. Snacks and coffee available for free at reception area.
This is a lovely, small establishment, perfect for a stop-over in Chumphon.
It's incredibly clean, well-maintained, and in a nice safe location.
The mini-bar is also super cheap, which is handy because the nearest 7/10 is a 15 minute walk away.
The rooms were very comfortable and entire property was kept very clean. The location is in a wonderful very small local town with real authenticity (including food). It was a nice little break after being in Bangkok for a week.
The best hotel/resort on our trip in the southern part of Thailand. Great homemade breakfast, the room is amazing, very clean, good shower, soft bed, and a wonderful place to stay! highly recommend!!!!
Idyllic!! In so many ways… the location is just perfect..surrounded by nature, beautifully kept grounds..spotless rooms… absolutely no complaints. Without a doubt our favourite place in Thailand!
Fantastic hotel for the price. Big, clean, light rooms. Everything you need for a comfy night stay and breakfast is an added bonus for only 80 baht each! I would definitely recommend to anyone!
The coffee station is a wonderful start to the day. Lucky I’d the best host… I feel like family every time I return. Tong Chang is my absolute go-to spot when I pass through Chumphon.
